Go North Youth Event 2018 (June 5th)

The one-day Go North Youth event, created by U of T’s Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering in partnership with Google Canada and Actua, featured workshops and learning designed to ignite curiosity in youth and showcase the possibility what a career in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) can hold.

Over 1,100 Ontario students in Grades 4 to 8 visited the University of Toronto to attend this event for a chance to peek under the hood of today’s technologies, and get a taste of university life.

Our CARRE booth exhibit and graduate students where featured on BT Breakfast Television, watch here.

Science Rendezvous 2018 (May 12th)

Science Rendezvous is a free annual all-day festival that brings science out of the lab and onto the street with the ultimate goal of improving student enrolment as well as public involvement in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) fields.

This Science Rendezvous Event was the kick-start event to the National Science & Technology Week (Science Odyssey) hosted by the Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

CARRE was excited to participate in this event. Our graduate students demonstrated drones and robots in hands-on experiments aiming to highlight science in a fun new way!
