Aerospace Students Association

The Aerospace Students Association (ASA) is responsible for representing graduate students at UTIAS and for organizing athletic and social events throughout the year. Popular social events include trivia nights, pancake breakfasts, summer barbecues, LAN parties, and pub nights. Among other things, the athletics schedule consists of soccer, baseball, ultimate frisbee, and hockey, as well as annual camping and ski trips. Billiards, table tennis, foosball, and a selection of tabletop games are available for students’ enjoyment throughout the year, as well as a community garden in the summer months. Elections for the ASA Executive Committee take place annually in September.

Graduate Students’ Union

The Graduate Students’ Union (GSU) is the association to which all graduate students belong. Applicants may wish to contact students already enrolled in the department by writing or phoning the GSU.

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-Canada) is a student-run non-profit organization headquartered at UTIAS. With chapters across Canada, SEDS-Canada is dedicated to empowering students in the space industry and advocating for space in the public sphere.

University of Toronto Aeronautics Team (UTAT)

The University of Toronto Aeronautics Team (UTAT) is the only team at the University of Toronto dedicated to aerospace design. Founded in 2004, UTAT now consits of over 100 undergraduate and graduate students within the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto.
